Upcoming renovation

Things are moving along in Clifton Park! Saturday morning, starting at 8:00, we will be cleaning the floors in preparation for the final seal coat, which will be applied at the beginning of next week. If you are available Saturday morning and would like to participate, please e-mail efoxhoven@northwaychurch.tv to let her know. We are looking specifically for:

• at least 3 people who can come and run shop vacs (or bring  your own if you have one)
• at least 3 people who can mop (if you have industrial mops and buckets, please bring them along!)

After the seal coat is done, we’ll be able to accomodate much more traffic in the facility, which means we’ll see much more progress! We plan on having volunteers helping out every evening Monday through Friday, as well as Saturday mornings. We are in the process of getting a list together so you’ll know exactly what we are looking for help with each week. As soon as that list is available it will be posted here.

We’re making great progress and are moving forward at full speed! Check back for updates and to see where and when you might be able to participate in what God is doing in Clifton Park!

Plans submitted

Great news – we just submitted our architectural plans to the town of Clifton Park! This was a big accomplishment, and we want to give a huge shout out to Bil Matuscek, our architectural firm, for putting in so many extra hours to complete the plans.

Now we need you to rally behind us, and support us with prayer. Please pray specifically that the town will approve the plans quickly so we can continue to move forward in preparation for our grand opening!

Building Plans

As the floors on the facility are being completed, we are finalizing building plans for Clifton Park. Once they are complete, they will be submitted to the town for approval. Please pray that these plans will be approved in a timely manner, so we can complete the project and open our doors! We’ll get some new pictures posted once the floors are done. Thanks!

Photo Update

We are making progress and it really shows! Now, when you drive up to Northway Church Clifton Park, you know it! The sign previously occupied by a gym’s name now reads “Coming Soon…Northway Church.”  Thanks to daylight savings, it was dark especially early tonight, but it just made the lights inside stand out even more, revealing volunteers working enthusiastically in preparation!

Tonight, (thanks to a lot of strong volunteers) the video screen made its way from the truck into the church, and then onto the stage where it will eventually be hung. The last of the glue on the floor is coming up in preparation for a new floor. The paint in the children’s rooms looks phenomenal, and painting in the foyer is underway. Volunteers will be painting again at 5:15 pm tomorrow. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity! Contact Eva at efoxhoven@northwaychurch.tv to participate.

Volunteering 10/30 and 10/31

We just got word that the foyer is being painted on Monday and Tuesday night (10/30 and 10/31) starting at 5:15 pm. We are also looking for help in getting the rest of the tile up on these evenings. If you are available for either of these tasks on either evening, contact Eva at efoxhoven@northwaychurch.tv.

Seeking strong volunteers for Monday 10/30

This just in! The large (and heavy) video screen for the Clifton Park campus is being delivered on Monday, October 30th at 6:00 pm. This screen is officially “ginormous” measuring 24 feet wide and 10 feet high, and weighing in at 936 pounds! We are looking for 10 strong volunteers to help move it. Renovations underway

God certainly has a sense of humor. Four years ago, the handful of people who had a vision for Northway renovated a World’s Gym in the Shops of Malta in preparation for their Grand Opening. Now, we’re renovating a gym for the second time! Isn’t it ironic?

The significant difference, however, is that this time we have an army of volunteers who have caught the vision. So many people have stepped up to the plate and offered their time and talents to build a house for God. Thank you so much! We could not take this project on without you!

What a journey this has been. Walking into the future home of Northway Church Clifton Park in the North Country Commons is so exciting. To see people whose lives have been impacted by God serving so that others can come to know Him too…that is what it’s all about! It certainly has been a journey, and yet, this is just the beginning!

Last week, the tile in the building started to come up and many of the children’s rooms were painted. This week, the rest of the glue is being stripped from the floors in preparation for a new floor. If you would like to volunteer but haven’t gotten a phone call lately, it is NOT because we don’t want help! Work on the floors next week will prohibit traffic in the facility, so some other projects are on hold until that is complete.

Our new sign was hung today and we’ll have pictures posted shortly. We’ll also be introducing Bob and Jim, our project managers at the site. Check back for more pictures and information on when new projects will be started.

Coming Soon…

A couple of weeks ago, we announced Northway Church will be opening its second location in Clifton Park. Northway Church started four years ago in the Shops of Malta with just a handful of people, and now it’s one of the fastest-growing churches in the nation. Over 1600 people call Northway Church their home! We know that there are many more who would like to join us, but not everyone lives near Malta. That’s why Northway Church is coming to a location near you! 

Four years ago, we opened our doors in what used to be a gym in Malta, and in a few weeks, we will open our doors in the former Gold’s Gym in Clifton Park! We are so excited to see what God will do in this new location, and we invite you to join us as we serve, pray and celebrate in the weeks and months to come.
